Christmas Tree Recycling

Before you toss that live cut Christmas tree on the curb, learn how it can be repurposed into a bird or fish sanctuary!

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has several drop off locations; they take the trees and sink them into lakes and other waterways to use as fish habitats. You can bring your spent Christmas tree off here at Good Earth and we can take care of it as well.

A fun, easy way to create a habitat for birds is through making natural bird feeders.  Cover a pine cone in peanut butter and roll in bird seed, then hang. Our fraser firs will hold their needles for quite a while outdoors so take the tree outside and hand these bird feeders on it during the hard month of January.  You can also hollow out an orange, fill it with bird seed and hang it up in the tree as well.
