We offer natural rock, and characteristics vary from pallet to pallet; we suggest coming by to see all the options in person. These differences make matching and estimating coverage a challenge; we will do our best! All of our rock/ stone options are natural and sold by the pound, half pallet or full pallet. For safety reasons and to maintain full or half pallet integrity, we cannot pick through ‘unopened’ pallets or pick through more than the top 2 layers of ‘open’ pallets.  We do not cut or break stones; they are sold as is.

How do you purchase rock from Good Earth? It’s pretty simple!

1 Visit our Rock Yard over on the West Side of the garden center to choose your stones, then come visit us in the Green Building.

2 Our team will weigh your selected stones, then check you out in the Green Building and get you loaded!

What kind of rock should be used for which projects?

Edger Stones – used to edge pathways or landscape beds, not suitable for
retaining walls

Ozark Stack Stones + Ozark Creek Rock – used as edging, in water features and dry creek beds. Ozark Stackers can be used for short retaining walls; proper
construction is crucial for success.

Flagstone + Ozark Step Stones – these can both be used for patios and pathways.  They can be placed in landscape beds or in sod areas with sand under them to level them for use as pathways or patios. Both of these stones can also be mortared in to create a solid surface. Flagstones are more level while Ozark Step Stones have more texture to them. If you are placing furniture on these, consider this factor when choosing your stone. Flagstone is available in two colors; Gray and Boggy Brown. We also often have thinner and thicker options available.

Boulders – used as accents in landscape beds, lawns, water features, and to secure/ retain soil on hills.

Kewanee Creek Stone, Mexican Pebbles + Muli-Color Creek Rock – Accents!
