The Good Earth Garden Center began in 1974 as a retail garden center and nursery. Over the years, it has expanded greatly and now offers a myriad of landscape services, a gift shop and is considered a one-stop-shop for anything garden or landscape. We love to have fun, work hard, be creative and help customers fall in love with their outdoor spaces. Landscape Designer/Architect
Are you a creative, detail-oriented landscape designer who loves working directly with customers and seeing your projects come to life? The Good Earth is looking for a Landscape Designer to join our team and help bring beautiful, functional outdoor spaces to life.
In this role, you’ll meet with potential clients, develop custom design concepts, create accurate estimates, and work closely with our project managers to ensure each project is installed smoothly and meets our quality standards and the customers satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
Sales & Client Communication
- Meet with potential clients to discuss project ideas and budgets.
- Communicate company capabilities through past project examples.
- Manage customer expectations and maintain timely communication.
Design
- Visit job sites and develop installation-ready design concepts.
- Prepare clear, accurate estimates and project proposals.
- Visually communicate project proposals when necessary
Project Coordination
- Communicate project details to the Project Manager and field team.
- Assist with plant layout, site visits, and scope changes.
- Coordinate material needs (plants, stone, sod, and bulk materials).
- Identify subcontractor needs when applicable
- Support project closeout with walkthroughs, invoicing, and follow-up.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or related field.
- 5+ years of landscape design experience.
- Strong knowledge of plants, design concepts, drainage, lighting, hardscapes, and stonework.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Creative, organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Team-oriented and committed to high-quality work.
Work Environment & Hours
- Mix of office work, client meetings, field/site visits, and follow up.
- Full-time role, typically 40–50 hours per week, with additional hours during peak seasons.

Landscape Project Manager
Lead the Work. Build Something You’re Proud Of.
The Good Earth Garden Center is looking for a Landscape Project Manager to lead residential and commercial landscape construction projects throughout the Little Rock area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being outdoors, solving problems and seeing a project come to life. You’ll work closely with our designers and field teams to keep projects organized, on schedule and up to Good Earth standards.
Your office is outdoors — and the view changes every day.
What You’ll Do
- Manage multiple landscape projects from start to finish
- Coordinate crews, materials, equipment and schedules
- Plan ahead for upcoming projects and jobsite needs
- Communicate with designers and crews regarding plans, changes and expectations
- Monitor quality, safety, productivity and timelines
- Troubleshoot jobsite challenges and coordinate solutions
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Manage project changes, time entries and completion information for billing
What You Bring
- Landscape, construction or related field experience
- Project management, field supervision or crew leadership experience
- Knowledge of landscape installation, including plants, irrigation, drainage, dirtwork, sod, retaining walls, stonework and hardscapes
- Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on mechanical ability and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual English/Spanish and industry certifications are a plus

Irrigation Technician

The Good Earth, one of Little Rock’s largest landscape companies, is looking for an Irrigation Technician to join our team. We’re looking for someone who understands both irrigation systems and the landscapes they support.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems.
- Repair lines, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, and other components.
- Program and adjust Rain Bird, Hunter, Hydrawise, and other irrigation controllers.
- Evaluate plant material and watering needs to ensure appropriate coverage and run times for turf, trees, shrubs, annuals, and other landscape areas.
- Adjust systems based on plant needs, site conditions, and seasonal changes.
- Communicate irrigation needs and solutions with clients and team members.
- Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
What We’re Looking For
- Irrigation installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of landscape plant material and the watering requirements of different types of plants and turf.
- Ability to evaluate irrigation coverage and determine appropriate run times for individual properties.
- Dependable, safety-minded, and a strong problem solver.
- Bonus: Landscape lighting experience.

Temporary Seasonal Full-Time Cashier
Location: The Good Earth Garden Center
Position Type: Temporary / Seasonal (September – October)
Schedule: Full-Time, including weekends
About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Seasonal Cashier to be a welcoming face at our garden center during our busy Fall season. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and loves being part of a cheerful, customer-focused team.
As a cashier, you’ll help create a smooth and positive checkout experience while supporting daily retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions
- Answer basic questions about products, promotions, and store policies
- Assist with gift shop and seasonal merchandise as needed
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Work closely with retail, plant, and management teams to support daily operations
