Pieris is an evergreen, round-shaped shrub featuring unique clusters of bead-like flowers in winter and spring and glossy foliage. Several cultivars have reddish new foliage. Pieris works well in woodland and rock gardens and as foundation plants. It’s important to plant them in well-drained soil.
