The Good Earth Garden Center began in 1974 as a retail garden center and nursery. Over the years, it has expanded greatly and now offers a myriad of landscape services, a gift shop and is considered a one-stop-shop for anything garden or landscape. We love to have fun, work hard, be creative and help customers fall in love with their outdoor spaces. As a company, we are extremely customer experience oriented and are excited to grow our unique team. The Good Earth has been featured in Southern Living as the where to go Garden Center in Arkansas. Landscape Designer/Project Manager
Responsibilities
Evaluate potential projects, develop sales, create designs, and prepare accurate estimate. Ensure the project is installed in a timely manner, satisfies the customer’s requirements as defined prior to installation, and achieves The Good Earth’s standards of quality. You are the liaison between The Good Earth Landscape Team and the customer.
Identify project requirements by effectively working with potential customers and document their needs in a clear manner. You must be able to communicate effectively with both external and internal customers and team members. You must be able to manage a project from beginning to end.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or related field or 5 years’ experience in landscape design. Examples of work are required.
- Working knowledge of horticulture.
- Proficient in all elements of landscape design.
- Proficient in CAD design, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to visualize finished product.

- Strong work ethic.
- Honesty, integrity, and a strong desire to succeed.
- Customer oriented.
- Must have excellent skills in listening and written and verbal communication.
- High energy, self-motivated and proactive.
- Self-directed, extremely organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to work on very tight timelines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to create and maintain cooperative team building relationships.
