Over the years, it has expanded greatly and now offers a myriad of landscape services, a gift shop and is considered a one-stop-shop for anything garden or landscape. Temporary Seasonal Cashier
Position Type: Temporary / Seasonal (Mid-February –Early June 2026)
Schedule: Full-Time; must be available to work Saturdays and/ or Sundays
About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Seasonal Cashier to be a welcoming face at our garden center during our busiest season. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and loves being part of a cheerful, customer-focused team.
As a cashier, you’ll help create a smooth and positive checkout experience while supporting daily retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions
- Answer basic questions about products, promotions, and store policies
- Assist with gift shop and seasonal merchandise as needed
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Work closely with garden center teams to support daily operations

Gift Shop Assistant
Position Type: Part to Full-time
Job Summary
The Gift Shop Assistant supports the daily operations and visual appeal of our garden center gift shop. This role blends inventory support, merchandising, restocking, and customer-facing cashiering to ensure the shop is well-stocked, accurately priced, and welcoming. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, enjoys working with product, and takes pride in creating a great shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory, Purchasing & Receiving
- Enter and maintain purchase orders accurately in the point-of-sale or inventory system
- Receive incoming merchandise, verify quantities, and inspect items for quality
- Communicate discrepancies or damages promptly to management
- Maintain organized back stock and receiving areas
Pricing, Stocking & Restocking
- Accurately price merchandise according to established guidelines
- Create and apply labels, tags, and barcodes as needed
- Restock shelves, tables, and displays to keep the sales floor full and organized
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items
- Rotate product to maintain freshness and support seasonal transitions
Merchandising & Visual Standards
- Assist with merchandising displays that align with seasonal themes and brand standards
- Maintain clean, attractive, and well-organized displays throughout the shop
- Support seasonal resets, promotions, and special events
- Help keep the gift shop tidy, shoppable, and inviting at all times
Customer Experience
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service and basic product guidance
- Answer questions, assist with gift selections, and direct customers as needed
- Support general retail operations during busy periods
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous retail, cashiering, merchandising, or inventory experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfort with POS systems, inventory software, and basic computer tasks
- Eye for merchandising and product presentation
- Ability to lift and move boxes and merchandise (up to 40 lbs)
- Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable multitasking

Horticulturist/ Plant Enthusiast
Position Type: Full-time

About This Role
We’re looking for a knowledgeable, approachable Horticulturist to help guide and inspire our customers while maintaining the health, beauty, and quality of our plants. This role is ideal for someone who loves plants and people — someone who enjoys sharing knowledge, solving problems, and helping customers succeed in their gardens.
Our horticulturists are trusted resources on the sales floor and play an important role in setting the standard for plant care, merchandising, and providing the Good Earth Great Experience throughout the garden center, with our team and with our customers.
Job Description
This position could include any and all of the following:
- Customer service including sales, design ideas, troubleshooting/ resolving plant health issues
- Stocking, merchandising, and maintaining inventory (including watering)
- Maintaining and enhancing display gardens
- Educational seminars, blog posts, signage
- Involvement in perennial growing program, customer plantings
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with plant selection, care, and problem-solving
- Provide guidance on sun exposure, soil, watering, and seasonal maintenance
- Maintain plant health through proper watering, grooming, and monitoring
- Identify and address plant health issues, pests, and diseases
- Merchandise plants to ensure displays are healthy, full, and well-presented
- Support receiving and placement of new plant material
- Work collaboratively with retail, merchandising, and leadership teams
- Help educate seasonal staff and model best practices on the sales floor
What We Are Looking For
- Strong foundational knowledge of plants, gardening, and basic horticulture
- Comfortable communicating with customers of all experience levels
- Ability to explain plant care in clear, friendly, and practical terms
- Observant, detail-oriented, and proactive about plant health
- Physically able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather, lift up to 50 lbs, and stay active
- Horticulture degree desired; previous garden center, nursery, or landscape experience required

Landscape Project Manager
Job description
The Good Earth Garden Center is seeking a Landscape Services Project Manager to successfully supervise and manage multiple residential & commercial landscape construction projects in the Little Rock area. Our office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!
Necessary skills
Strong command of irrigation systems, drainage, dirtwork, bed layout, plant knowledge, plant placement, sod installation, retaining walls, stone installation, water features, lighting, hardscapes, as well as safety management and machinery operation necessary to the position.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates all field aspects (site review, equipment, materials, labor, etc) of current job and at least one (or two) jobs ahead
- Timely communication with Designer regarding new projects, design elements, change orders, potential on-site adjustments and project scope changes
- Timely communication with Crew Chief to ensure all company standards and policies (quality, safety, etc) are being met, as well projected schedule being met
- Lead team members in efficient use, monitoring and maintenance of trucks, equipment, and supplies
- Responsible for crew’s preparation, layout and clear understanding of scope of work and budgeted time
- Promotes a safe work environment
- Identifies customer concerns and quickly addresses in order to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Estimates cost increases/deductions, and develops contingency plans to address change of conditions on jobsites
- Ensure field personnel complete time entries in time system
- Submits billing promptly at job completion
Qualifications
- High school certificate, at minimum; Bachelor’s degree, landscape, irrigation certificates preferred
- Experience in the landscape industry including understanding of plant identification, irrigation system installation, hardscape installation, drainage installation, wall construction, etc
- Successful track record of project management execution in construction, landscape, etc
- Excellent hands-on mechanical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills; English/Spanish bilingual a plus
