Abelia

Abelias are shrubs featuring tubular flowers on current years’ growth in summer and fall. The floral parts of the blooms remain showy after flowering on many species. In addition to attractive blooms, many species feature interesting foliage color, from yellow variegation to cream variegation.

The abelias we carry are evergreen or semi-evergreen although there are deciduous varieties also.

• Sun to Part Sun
• Plant in fertile, well-drained soil
• Prune minimally, as needed for shaping

Landscape features include good foliage contrast to green or red foliage plants, in addition to the long lasting blooms.
